Sharing a Client Portal URL

A contact who receives an Invite may be working on their documents with an accountant , lawyer, or colleague. In order to grant this third party access to the documents, the Client Portal URL can be shared.

Invite URL recipients will NOT be added as Invite contacts. Any document work done from a contact’s Client Portal, including any messaging, will appear to involve only the contact, even if performed by someone else.

Note: You can also send an existing Invite to a new contact.

 

Start in your Invites list, find the sent Invite whose URL you want to share, and click the Invite’s View icon.

 

In the Invite’s Overview tab, find the contact whose Client Portal is to be made available, and click the contact’s Copy portal link icon.

 

With the URL copied, you can share it with those working with the contact. The contact can also share the URL as needed.

Keep in mind that any URL recipient will have full access to potentially sensitive documents and interactions. So this information should only be shared with people trusted by the contact.
