If your client is encountering errors or you’re not seeing expected bank data in FileInvite, follow these steps to diagnose and resolve the issue.

⚠️ 1. "Oh no, you are somewhere you shouldn't be" Error

If your client sees this error when trying to complete a BankStatements request, it usually means the BankStatements integration link is missing from your setup.

What to Do:

  • Check if your BankStatements integration is properly configured.

👤 2. Check Who Created the Invite

Each FileInvite user has their own integration preferences, including BankStatements.

Why This Matters:

If you are not the owner of the invite, your personal BankStatements integration settings won’t apply to that invite.

Action Steps:

  • Confirm who created the invite.

  • If it wasn’t you, ask the invite owner to verify their BankStatements integration is correctly set up under their FileInvite account.

  • Each team member must configure and authenticate their own BankStatements connection.
