Fileinvite is introducing a major improvement to our form-fill system
We are transitioning to the Nutrient platform on March 3rd, bringing enhanced features such as data extraction from images and scanned documents, along with better customization options for template creation. Additionally, our new form technology offers an improved signing experience on mobile devices.
Technical Update
We are currently experiencing technical issues with Nutrient forms. These stability issues are actively being worked on, and we expect a resolution in the coming days. We will keep you updated once the issues are fully resolved.
In the meantime, legacy forms are no longer functional when sent to clients. To ensure a seamless experience, please follow the steps below to update your Templates and pending Invites.
What You Need to Do
To continue using forms on FileInvite, you must update:
-
Your Form Requests in Templates (to prevent sending out non-functional forms).
-
Pending Invites that contain legacy forms (in statuses: Sent, Progressing, Awaiting Review).
How to Update Your Templates to the New Form Request
-
Log in to your Fileinvite account.
-
Navigate to Templates in the dashboard.
-
Select the Template you need to update. You can identify this with the “Legacy Form Format” label.
-
For each existing form request in the Template:
-
Create a new request and upload the original pre-annotated form file.
-
We recommend using Adobe-annotated forms instead of creating form fields within FileInvite, as we are experiencing instability with in-app form fields.
-
Once you've recreated the form request, delete the old request and save the updated template.
-
-
Test the new form request by sending an invite to yourself and ensuring it works in the portal.

How to Update Pending Invites with Legacy Forms
If you have Pending Invites (Sent, Progressing, Awaiting Review) containing legacy forms, you will need to replace them with new form requests:
-
Go to the Manage Invites page and click any pending Invite.
-
Click on the Invite Actions dropdown and select Edit Invite.
-
Inside the request section:
-
Delete the legacy form attachment.
-
Re-upload a pre-annotated form (preferably annotated via Adobe).
-
Preview the form to ensure all fields work correctly.
-
-
Click Finish Editing to save the changes.
-
If you need the client to refill the form, go to Invite Actions, select Send Portal Link, and include a message prompting them to complete the updated form.
Key Takeaways
-
Legacy forms will no longer work for new invites. Any legacy forms currently in the portal will not function. Please update all invites and templates to prevent sending non-functional forms to clients.
-
Pending Invites using legacy forms must be updated. This ensures that preview, sync, and download capabilities continue to work smoothly.
-
Accepted form requests should not be affected. As long as the file is synced to your cloud storage, you will still be able to download completed forms.
