Edit, Rename, Duplicate, or Delete a Template
Learn how to modify and manage existing templates for your account.
- If your Fileinvite Login URL ends in fileinvite.com, please use this knowledge base instead.
- Templates are available only to users with an Organisation Owner, Admin, or User role. Learn more about user roles and permissions here.
To get started, click Templates along the left to bring up the templates list, then click the 3 dots at the top right of the template you'd like to modify to bring up the Edit, Rename, Duplicate, and Delete options.

Edit a Template
To edit an existing template:
- Navigate to the Templates page from the sidebar
- Locate the template you want to edit
- Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the template card
- Select Edit from the dropdown menu

This will open the template editor, where you can modify Request Groups, update document requests, add or remove LiveForms, and adjust any other template settings.

Rename a Template
If you click on Rename, you'll be prompted to add a different template name. Click Rename to save the new template name.

Duplicate a Template
Clicking Duplicate will automatically create a copy of the selected template, which you can then edit or rename as needed.

Delete a Template
Hitting Delete will bring up the Delete Template confirmation window. Note that once deleted, a template cannot be restored.
