Invites

Q. If I resend an Invite, does it count toward the invite quota?
A. Depends, it will count only if you are on a monthly plan, and you resend it in the next calendar month.

Q. What is the file upload size limit?
A. 2GB per file, but is set by the browser limit and not FI.

Q. Is there a way to delete all 'closed' file invites in one go?
A. None at the moment but it is being considered for a future update.

Q. What does the Reference ID toggle do?
A. It is an alternate identifier for your invites. You can set the files received for a particular invite to have the reference ID embedded at the beginning of the filenames.


Q. Does users currently have the ability to create groups of contacts to bulk send? If not, do we have any plans to update that?
A. Our team is currently working on having tags, that can be assigned for this purpose but no ETA or timeframe as to when would this become live, or doing this via the API and then tracking the groups and triggering the send from their own system.

Q. How does the signature audit trail work where the client is using a VPN? Does it still capture the time and IP address?
A. it would use the VPN IP since the whole point of a VPN is to mask your location.

Q. Can multiple people receive notifications for the same invite?
A. Email forwarding rules can be used to achieve this where the person who receives notifications sets up a rule in their email client for the forwarding of the emails.

Q. What happens to the bulk invites when the user reaches the invite limit?
A. The invites above quota are not sent, a "You are over quota" warning appears and the user is asked to edit the invite.

Q. Is there a way to create unique names for the invites automatically?
A. This can be done thru API. The CreateInvite endpoint has a "reference_id" field.

Q. Is there a way to get the closed invites out of my dashboard?
A. None at this time.

Templates

Q. Is there a way to toggle the templates and change the order?
A. Templates are arranged alphanumerically. By numbering them eg 1 - Home loans, 2 - refinance or alphabetically A) Home loans, B) Refinance, etc.
But worth noting that the Custom template directory doesn't pull through this logic and there is no way of ordering it.

User Management

Q. Is the limit on the Team package 50 invites per account or 50 invites per user?
A. 50 invites per account with 2 users.

Q. When a user is automatically created in FileInvite, does it also automatically allocate their group?
A. No, users need to be manually allocated to their respective groups.

Q. In the app, is the multi plan still have 3 users or has it been changed to 2?
A. It's still 3 users in-app.

Integration

Q. Is there a limit to the number of folders that show up in the integrations section when choosing where items will download?
A. The limit is set to 500 folders.

Q. Is bank statement integrations only for Australia and NZ? Are there any plans to add integrations in the USA?
A. Currently BankStatements integration is only supported for the ANZ region while we are still looking into the possibility of extending this service to US banks, but there are no definite timeframes of availability.

Q. Can a user sync with Microsoft SharePoint somehow through the Microsoft OneDrive sync we have? Or do they have to use the API?
A. Must be through the API.

Q. When setting up the BOX integration, the BOX folder name will be created as “ First Name, Last Name” by default. Can we set it to Last name, First name?
A. Unfortunately no.

Q. Is there a limit to the number of statements that can be retrieved via Illion?

A. Yes, currently the limit is set to 100 files.

General Questions

Q. When receiving links to the portal on mobile, a prospect mentioned that the default size of the web portal doesn't fit the mobile screen they have to go in and reduce zoom to 50% to make it readable. Is there a way to default this to not be as large on mobile?
A. This could be a responsiveness issue that could depend on what device and browser customers are using to access the portal.

Q. User is wanting to have a unique portal for each customer to upload documents monthly, is this possible?
A. This would be more of an API-driven solution wherein the users have logic in their system to run through a spreadsheet and then trigger our API to send Invites for each row.

Q. Does FileInvite support CSV and Excel?
A. Yes, we support CSV/Excel files. Users would need to download the original version of the file received instead of the PDF copy.

Q. What server is a user based in Canada hosted?
A. This would be our US server with link us.fileinvite.com

Q. What number do FI text reminders come from?
A. +1 320 354 3468, UK has now its own number +44 7700 169396.

Q. Reminder texts, do they go out at a certain time of day?
A. Goes out at about 2/3 pm in the time zone that the user is hosted in.

Q. What security feature do we have that prevents malicious content from being uploaded into the FileInvite portal?
A. Uploads are scanned by the antivirus.

Q. Can FileInvite be accessed from any browser, specifically including DuckDuckGo?

A. Most browsers are based on the same underlying tech, with a different UI and some tweaks. DuckDuckGO is a version of Safari and Fileinvite should be accessible on these.

Q. Is our portal functional in multiple languages?
A. The current portal is only available in English. However, the request names and descriptions can be in any language (special characters for request titles are disabled for security). A future update may have multi-language at some stage.

Q. Does the PDF auto-converter also convert TIF files to PDF?

A. Yes, so far only HTML, HEIC, and JSON are not supported by PDF auto-conversion
