Fixing Common Errors
Use these steps if the application is freezing, showing a white screen, or displaying loading errors.
🛠 Step 1: Perform a "Hard Refresh"
A hard refresh forces your computer to bypass its saved files and download the absolute latest version of FileInvite.
-
Windows (Chrome, Edge, Firefox): Press
Ctrl+F5.-
Note: On some laptops, you may need to hold the
Fnkey:Ctrl+Fn+F5.
-
-
Mac (Chrome, Firefox): Press
Cmd+Shift+R. -
Mac (Safari): Press
Option+Cmd+E, then click the refresh icon in the address bar.
🛠 Step 2: Test in an Incognito/Private Window
This tests if the problem is caused by your browser history or a specific extension.
-
Chrome/Edge: Press
Ctrl+Shift+N(Windows) orCmd+Shift+N(Mac). -
Safari/Firefox: Select "New Private Window" from the File menu at the top of your screen.
Success? If FileInvite works in Incognito, you simply need to clear your browser's full cache (Step 3).
🛠 Step 3: Clear Browser Cache & Cookies
If a hard refresh didn't work, your browser needs a "deep clean" of its stored data.
-
Open Settings: Click the three dots (⋮) or lines (≡) in the top-right corner of your browser.
-
Navigate: Go to Privacy and security > Clear browsing data.
-
Selection: Ensure "Cookies" and "Cached images/files" are checked.
-
Time Range: Set this to "All time".
-
Finish: Click Clear data, close all browser windows, and log back in.
