AI Smart Matching
AI Smart Matching automatically analyses each document uploaded by a borrower and routes it to the correct contact and request within your Invite — removing the manual work of sorting and classifying incoming files.
If your Fileinvite Login URL ends in fileinvite.com, please use this knowledge base instead.
Early Access: AI Smart Matching is currently available to selected customers only. Contact your FileInvite account manager to enquire about access.
How AI Smart Matching Works
When a borrower uploads a document to the Client Portal:
- FileInvite's AI analyses the content of the uploaded file
- It identifies which request the document corresponds to (e.g., a bank statement is matched to the "Last 3 months bank statements" request)
- On Invites with multiple contacts, it also identifies which contact the document belongs to
- The file is automatically routed to the correct request and contact — ready for your review
No action is required from the borrower or your team for matching to occur. Documents that cannot be matched with sufficient confidence are flagged for manual review.
Reviewing Matched Documents
- Matched documents appear in the correct request row, attributed to the correct contact, as soon as they are uploaded
- Review and approve or reject matched documents the same way as any other uploaded file — from the relevant request row in the Invite
- If a document has been routed incorrectly, you can move it to the correct request manually
Privacy and Data Use
FileInvite does not use any document content or personal information to train AI models. Borrowers' data remains private and is used solely for the purpose of routing documents within your Invite.
Important Notes
- AI Smart Matching is enabled at the account level by your FileInvite account manager. Once enabled, it applies automatically to all new Invites.
- Use descriptive request names (e.g., "Most recent 2 years of personal tax returns" rather than "Tax docs") to give the AI sufficient context to match accurately.
- Documents uploaded before AI Smart Matching was enabled on your account are not retroactively matched.
💡 Best Practices:
- Write specific, unambiguous request names — these are the primary signal the AI uses to match incoming documents
- Review matched documents promptly and reject any that have been incorrectly routed to keep Invite status accurate
- If you notice consistent mismatches on a specific request type, contact FileInvite support
